A year after I was born, my parents had another baby. A little girl. A sister whom I never got to know because she was born prematurely. If there is a cure then we should try to find it. Babies are perhaps some of the most innocent people in the world. And all parents wish for is that their children are born healthy. Please help me reach, or surpass, my goal to raise money for this great cause!
Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies' lives.
The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
