Nicole’s Reason for Marching

I started out my nursing career working in postpartum with moms & their babies. After working there for a few years and also caring for moms of babies who were in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, I started the wonder what it would be like to care for those tiny babies. I finally ended up becoming a NICU nurse and for the last 6 years, have dedicated myself to caring for these fragile yet amazingly strong babies and their families. This is by far the most rewarding and amazing job I could ever imagine and could not see myself working with any other patient population.

I march for all the babies who have graduated from our NICU after short stays, half-year stays, and everything in between. I also March for all of our families who didn't get the chance to take their precious babies home with them. I march for my friends and co-workers who became NICU moms themselves and showed me strength and resiliency that is beyond words.

Please visit my fundraising page to make a donation. Together we’ll be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
