Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies' lives. As most of you know I have been a NICU nurse for more than ten years and that these premature babies are my patients. I walk for all of the babies and their families who have touched my life!
