When you join March of Dimes WalkAmerica, you bond together with millions of others in the fight to defeat premature birth. Today in the U.S., 1,305 babies will be born prematurely. Some of them won't survive, and others will have health problems that could last a lifetime. In almost half the cases, the causes of premature birth are unknown.
