Sometimes there is a problem processing a donor’s credit card. If the transaction does not go through, charges will not be applied to the card and any authorizations will be released shortly.
Here are the most common error messages and what you can do to resolve the error.
Error! Your transaction has been declined. Please try again with another card.
There was a problem with the information entered from the card. An incorrect credit card number or expiration date will cause errors in the transaction. Please try again with the correct information.
There is a problem with address information. For US residents, the address, state and zip code must match the address on your credit card bill. For International residents, please make sure the country, province or state and Card Security Code are all entered properly. Please try again with the correct information.
If errors continue, consult the financial institution to make certain you have the proper information.
Error! You have entered an invalid account number. Please carefully enter your account number again or use another card.
Please try again to enter the card number. Don't use spaces, symbols or punctuation in your number.
Error! The security screening on your account requires authorization to process transactions to the March of Dimes. Please contact your credit card provider to allow online transactions to the March of Dimes and then try again.
Some credit card companies and banks reject online transactions unless they are authorized by the cardholder. They might also be rejected if online transactions are not typical for the cardholder. Please contact the issuing bank to authorize online transactions to the March of Dimes.

There has been a communication or technical error at Verisign, the service that we use for credit card transactions. Please try again later.
Error! Your bank/credit card company requires the Card Security Code or verification of your expiration date. Please try again with another card.
You may have entered the expiration date incorrectly. Please try again.
Error! There was a technical difficulty while processing your account, which we cannot solve. Please use another card or contact your credit card company to determine the error.
Your transaction was not successful because of a technical problem. Please use another card or contact your credit card company to resolve this error.
