Credit Card Errors

Sometimes there is a problem processing a donor’s credit card. If the transaction does not go through, charges will not be applied to the card and any authorizations will be released shortly.

Here are the most common error messages and what you can do to resolve the error.

Error! Your transaction has been declined. Please try again with another card.

If errors continue, consult the financial institution to make certain you have the proper information.

Error! You have entered an invalid account number. Please carefully enter your account number again or use another card.

Error! The security screening on your account requires authorization to process transactions to the March of Dimes. Please contact your credit card provider to allow online transactions to the March of Dimes and then try again.

Error! Verisign is temporarily not available, please try again later.

Error! Your bank/credit card company requires the Card Security Code or verification of your expiration date. Please try again with another card.

Error! There was a technical difficulty while processing your account, which we cannot solve. Please use another card or contact your credit card company to determine the error.
