Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies' lives. This will be my third year walking for the March of Dimes and I enjoy it a great deal. This is for such a wonderful cause. I was married in 2006 and my husband and I would like to start our family soon. We think charities like this one are wonderful and give hope to future parents like us. Help me reach my goal of $350 to help the newborns who need us.
The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
