Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities.
Seven years ago I was told that I may never carry a baby to term. but thanks to great pre-natal care (including Terbutaline), I was able to hold two pregnancies that resulted in our 3 little miracles. And while all of our children did arrive prematurely, all three can be counted among the many lucky ones who have had no serious long-term complications thanks to access to excellent medical facilities amd treatment.
