Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!
Join us for a Mamapalooza of a time at our 2025 March for Babies community walk!
All are welcome as we put our fight for the health of all moms and babies center stage. Let's walk to celebrate healthy babies, NICU grads, babies on-the-way or still just a thought. We’ll also honor babies born preterm or with birth defects and pay tribute to moms and babies we’ve lost. As a March for Babies community, we’re better together. We’re stronger together. We're louder together. Register today and help us raise money for the fight!
Come to walk and stay to play!
March for Babies is a celebration. It’s our way of thanking you for everything thing you’ve helped us accomplish and every mom and baby you’ve helped us save. Yes, there’s lots more work to do. So today, plan to spend some time on the beautiful “lawn” of Michigan Central. Bring your family, friends, and leashed pets. Throw out a blanket and make it a picnic. Enjoy yourself. You’ve earned it. We appreciate every step you’ve taken to get us this far.

Sign up for our Advocacy network at any tent to take a stand with moms and babies, learn about our Stork’s Nest and Project Alpha partner initiatives, get trained in infant/child CPR by the American Heart Association and receive a free CPR practice kit while supplies last. Get your health checked at the Wayne State University Mobile Health Unit. Bring your A Game and a partner to the National Service Partners tent to play Spades for Babies. Visit food trucks from Los Dos Amigos Tacos and the Egg Roll Diva. We have face painting and mini-golf, a reunion for NICU grads, and for walkers participating in remembrance of a lost loved one, there’s a special place to honor and remember.
8:30 a.m.
Visit the Welcome Tent for items to help make the most of your day. Pick up earned incentives like T-shirts. In recognition of Father’s Day, we’ll have a special item for dads who donate.
9:45 a.m.
Meet at the Stage for our opening program including, greetings from UAW and Ford, our 2025 Ambassador Family, 2025 Circle of Champions, Super Hero Sprint and the Purple Pet Parade plus a high-energy warm up to the walk.
10:30 a.m.
Let’s walk! One loop around the park = ½ mile.
11:15 a.m.
Award time! We’ll announce the D9 Team of the Year, National Service Partner of the Year, UAW Ford team recognitions, Purple Pet Contest Winner, and more.
11:30 a.m.
Fairytale Friends arrive! Meet princesses, super heroes, and a fabulously friendly wicked witch

Hole-in-One contest at the Putt-to-Go mini golf area

March for Babies ends, but the park will still be open for your enjoyment.
Volunteers needed!
This is a great opportunity for individuals or groups who want to help bring March of Dimes mission to life. We'll provide recognition of volunteer time for students or others who need proof of community service hours. Follow the link for details on the role. Sign up to help out today!
