Bree Supports March for Babies

I am a mother to 3 preemies, a full term baby and 2 angels. Haley and Ashlyn were born at 25 wks 4 d, after I went into preterm labor at 21 wks and was on bedrest in the hospital for 26 days. In Haley and Ashlyn's case, there was no answer why I went into preterm labor. The best reason they came up with was "twins". We became a statistic that day, our girls had a 50/50 chance of survival. Our sweet Ashlyn passed away due to severe prematurity complications and Haley spent 84 days in the NICU. It was quite the roller coaster ride. She is doing absolutely wonderful now, you would never know that she had a rough start to life! She is in 6th grade, loves math, plays the violin, plays competitive soccer, and won All City in Cross Country! She is truly a miracle. Easton was also born premature. He was born at 34 wks and weighed 5 lbs 9 oz. He stayed in the NICU for 4 weeks. He is now healthy as can be, and almost passing up his big sister. He is 10 years old, loves 4th grade and plays baseball, football, and basketball! Then along came Hudson!! He was born only 5 days early after using progesterone injections! I think he would have stayed longer if we let him!! He weighed 8lbs 8 oz!!! Having a full term baby was such a great experience! He is 7 now, in First grade and playing baseball and football! We found out we were having twins again in 2009, this time, a boy and a girl. Pregnancy was going wonderful and babies looked amazing. I started progesterone injections at 16 weeks and went to the DR every 2 weeks. Almost 20 weeks into the pregnancy at a routine u/s we found out our little girl, Quinn, passed away just a day before :( Shocked and told that it was extremely rare for that to happen..our hearts were crushed. We have no reasons. The rest of the pregnancy had its uncertainty but our little boy Madden, continued to do well. After being put on bedrest, he and his sister still came 6 weeks early and Madden spent 2 weeks in the NICU. He weighed 4lbs 13oz. He will be 4 on April 25th and already plays sports better than his siblings!;) So please, help fight prematurity with us! you can email me at [email protected] if you have any questions or comments!

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!
