I walk in honor of my oldest child Moira who was born 4 weeks prematurely She was in the hospital for 10 days, and getting sent home without her was one of the worst feelings in the world, something that no mommy should EVER have to go through. Now thankfully she is a happy, and healthy little girl.

Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in March for Babies support research that saves babies' lives.

The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
