The first time I went into labor I was only 26 weeks into my pregnancy. BARELY half way through. I was terrified! My doctors put my on bedrest for the duration of my pregnancy along with weekly follow up appointments. Week by week the doctors and nurses check my and the baby. Their support as well as the education and support available through the March of Dimes helped carry me through the rest of my pregnancy. The PIT (princess in training/punk in training-depends on her mood) was born healthy at 39 1/2 weeks. This year, my healthy, happy and oh so active PIT will be turning 11....my how times flies!
Few years ago, we were "Kruisin for Kolton" who was born premature....today I am happy to report that he is a happy and healthy little boy keeping his parents on their toes!
This year we're teaming up with THE maven of social media, Kerri (who just delivered a TERM 3.0!!!!) and team "It's a preemie thing"!
Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies' lives.
This is my 12th year and the PIT's 10th year participating!! Help us make it the best ever!!
Thanks for all of your continued support in our quest to see more healthy babies born each and every day!!!
XOXO
CC & the PIT
