In April 2005, my son Nicholas was born 12 weeks early and spent 64 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We don't know why it happened, but it happens to thousands of babies just like him every year. Nicholas was blessed and beat all the odds to grow to be a happy, healthy little boy. We're trying to do our part to help make sure that others won't have the same challenges that he did at such an early age.

This year marks the fifth time that I will be participating in the March of Dimes event to raise money and awareness to help find and fight the causes of premature birth. Please join me, either by walking with me or by sponsoring my team, to help ensure that every child has a chance to start life healthy.
