Katie Jo was born at 28wks. She weighed

2 lbs 1.7oz at birth. Like all babies she dropped some weight reaching her lowest point of 1 lbs 14oz. We were told a baby this small usually has many complications that are long lasting throughout life. As new parents of a preemie we didn't know what to think or do. We called on many family members and friends for support and prayer. With the technology funded by March of Dimes our baby was saved! Katie was chosen to be an ambassador in our area for 2008. We feel it is an honor to be able to give back in some small way. We know any amount raised WILL help to save another precious baby.

The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
