Look at my babies now! Here's big sister Haley, and her two little brothers, Easton and Hudson! Hard to believe that Haley and her sister Ashlyn, born at 25 weeks, 4 days, weighed a mere 1 pound 14 ounces at birth and were no bigger than a 16 ounce Pepsi bottle! My granddaughters became a statistic that day with a 50/50 chance of survival. Our sweet Ashlyn Grace passed away one day after her birth, while Haley survived/recovered in the NICU for three long months.
Easton was also a preemie weighing in at 5 pounds, 9 ounces at 34 weeks into his pregnancy. Here's the shocker...our newest grandson Hudson, was born after a full term pregnancy! He weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces at birth! What a surprise when he actually had to be scheduled for a c-section birth! March of Dimes and their research make it possible for babies to be born full term! Haley is almost 7 years old now and is attending 1st grade. Easton is now 5 and loves monster trucks! Actually he will tell you wants to drive them when he grows up! Hudson is just a happy and rowdy 2 year old. Our Haley is a true miracle child. I am very thankful that the March of Dimes has provided their support to Haley and her family during these past six years.
Last year with your help, our family team raised over $5000.00 to support Walk America and the MOD. Amazing!
We are walking again this year. Thank you again for all of your love, support and donations. We are truly blessed.
Walk America raises money to support March of Dimes lifesaving research and innovative programs that save babies from prematurely, birth defects and other health problems. The money donated in Salem goes to help Salem babies through a grant received by the Salem Hospital's new Birthing Center. Did you know that 86% of every $1.00 donated, reaches families in need and the research needed to save babies?
I will be walking in honor of all my grandchildren, Garret, Kaelyn, Brynlee, Haley, Easton, Hudson and in memory of my Angel granddaughter, Ashlyn Grace.
Your donations really do work!
The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
