March of Dimes became very near and dear to our hearts when our son, Truman, was born at 23 weeks in August 2006. As the mother of a micropreemie, we know first hand how the work of March of Dimes, such as the discovery of surfactant or advancement in isolettes are directly responsible for our child's life.

As Truman grows and we face the lasting effects of prematurity on his body and brain, we are all the more determined to support the March of Dimes to not only help other children avoid a traumatic early entry into this world, but to help our son and others mitigate and avoid the lasting effects of prematurity on their childhoods.

Now, as we await the birth of our second child, we turn again to the March of Dimes and its research to help ensure that this pregnancy lasts as long as possible. Please help give other children the same chances given to Truman by helping fund additional research.
