Emma Grace was born at 25 weeks (that′s 15 weeks early) weighing a tiny 1lb 12oz and 12.5in long. She was doing surprisingly well until an intestinal infection called necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) struck. It proved too much for her little body and Emma went home to the Lord at 2 weeks of age.
With the help of the March of Dimes, great improvements have been made in preventing premature births. Our miracle son, Austin, who was born fullterm is a perfect example.
