This year we are thrilled to be the March of Dimes Ambassador Family! Paige and Levi are representing the organization as living proof of the good that comes from the March of Dimes. We are also doing this in memory and honor of Spencer, so that no other family has to endure the loss of a baby to prematurity. We thank you in advance for your support of our team and hope that you can join us this year!
Many of you know our story. Our triplets, Paige, Levi, and Spencer, were born on 9/19/07 at just 29 weeks' gestation, 10 weeks (2.5 months) early, weighing just 3 1 oz lbs, 3 lbs, and 2 lbs. Our little Spencer developed an NEC infection (unfortunately, common in preemies) at just under a month old and didn't survive. Paige and Levi thrived and came home from the NICU after 42 days of care.
We normally aren't "fund raising" kind of people; we hate to ask for donations, but this cause is one that has become close to our hearts. Having premature babies, losing one, and experiencing all that having babies in the NICU entails, the March of Dimes has become so relevant and so important to us.
We ask that you donate or join us for the walk (or both!) in honor of our triplets, and in memory of Spencer, our angel baby. He touched so many people during his short life, and we hope that his memory will live on here and enable us to make a difference in the lives of other premature babies.
The money we raise helps fund research to find out why premature birth happens and what can be done to prevent it. Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies' health today.
Can you think of anything more important than the health of our babies? If you can't join us, please donate to our team from this page. It's fast, easy and secure.
Thank you!!!
Amanda, Brian, Paige, and Levi
