On Feb. 3rd 2007 I went to the hospital due to complications in my pregnancy. I was only 25 weeks 6 days pregnant. My due date was May 13th, Mother's Day. After a very long and painful night Ezra Thomas was born by emergency c-section on Sunday, Feb. 4th at 10:19 am. He weighed 2 lbs 1 oz and was 14.5 ins long.
That day was the beginning of a journey that Rod and I never could have imagined.
Ezra was in the NICU for 80 days before he came home.
Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in March for Babies support research that saves babies' lives like Ezra.
Please show your support by sponsoring TeamEzra and and help us reach our goal! Thank you so much!
