Lewis William was born August 13th, 2008 at 25 weeks gestation, 15 weeks premature. He weighed in at 1 lb 4 oz and at 12 inches long. He has over come so many challenges in his short little life so far, and he is an absolute miracle. I have seen him fight for every breath and heart beat, and struggle to be here every second of every day. We spent 96 days in the NICU, and are so grateful for such an amazing staff of nurses, doctors, and volunteers at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Lewis is 3 1/2, and is turning into an adventurous little boy! We are having so much fun watching him discover the world he fought so hard to be apart of. He loves to giggle and smile! Every day we are so thankful for the March of Dimes, and all of the support that helped us get through a very difficult time in our lifes. We walk to say thank you, and to let other families have a chance with their miracle baby.
