A day late and just a few dollars short. Our family team did things a little backwards this year. We walked first on Sunday, April 29th … and then began reaching out for our annual March for Babies fundraiser.
Your generous donations to support our Family Team efforts to raise money and awareness for the March of Dimes topped $55,000 after last year's walk. As he has for the past decade or so, Paul was recognized by the March of Dimes as one of the top 25 youth walkers in the nation in 2011. We cannot thank you enough for your continued contributions to support March of Dimes programs for stronger, healthier babies.
When you support March for Babies, you give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. You give hope to families just like ours. It is hard to believe the baby born at 23 weeks, weighing 1 lb, 8 oz, turns 17 later this month.
This year, more than 7 million people joined their family, friends and colleagues in 900 communities across the nation. Over 900 walkers joined in the fun this past Sunday in Danbury. This year marks the 16th year that our family hit the streets for the March of Dimes. We hope you will be able to support us again this year.
