March for Babies 2012 is fast approaching! It's time for us to gear up for our fundraising events before (and shortly after) the walk on April 29.
Local peeps, if you haven't already, please join our team and walk with us! (It can't POSSIBLY pour rain on us again this year, right? What are the chances?) We need your help... do you really want to miss out on all the fun we have doing this? Our fundraising events are a blast, and we need every bit of help we can get from our team members. We truly appreciate every minute/hour of effort you've given to help these past few years... every DIME/dollar either donated or raised by your efforts. Every one of you can claim part of our huge success last year. Your efforts helped us to be the #1 Family Team at the Metro Beach walk last year! Amazing! We were also VERY high on the list of top teams for all of the Detroit area, as well as the entire state. Do you know how many teams there are in the state? What an accomplishment we can all be honored to say we were a part of.
Kim is such an awesome team leader that March of Dimes has asked her to head the Family Teams for the Detroit area this year! I am such a proud mom.
Yes, we were awesome last year, but we can top that. We inched closer to our $10,000 goal, but this year we're going to hit it. Right? RIGHT! We can do it!
To my faraway friends and family, thank you for your support in the past. I will once again be asking you once again to donate to this very worthy cause. Times are tough for everyone, but who has it tougher than a tiny little baby, born too soon, fighting every moment to grow, to thrive, to survive, to have a life with his/her family. This is why we walk. This is why we try so hard to raise every dollar we can. The babies need us. They need you. And if they could, they would thank you too.
