Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in March for Babies support research that saves babies' lives.

As many of you know, we have had two premature babies in our family. Zoe was born 7 weeks early and we spent 16 days in Special Care nursery at NFRMC. We thought that she was tiny at 4lbs 14 oz. That is until we had Addison. Addison was born 12 weeks early and weighed only 2lbs 2oz. She was given great care by the nurses and docs at the NICU 3 and NICU 2 at Shands. She was there for 12 weeks. So needless to say, March For Babies is very important to us. Every little bit helps support these babies and their families.
