Today in the U.S., 1 in every 8 babies will be born prematurely. Some of them won't survive, and others will have health problems that could last a lifetime. The funds we raise in March For Babies support research that saves babies' lives.

On October 26th, 2004, 11 weeks before he was due, our son Ashton became one of those babies that was born too soon. Thanks to research funded by the March of Dimes, Ashton is now a happy and healthy 2nd grader. He is in high ability classes in school and is batting .1000 so far this baseball season! We never forget that we are very lucky that he is thriving in spite of his rough start in life! He is also a big brother to Caleb, who is approaching his 6th birthday. Caleb is also happy and healthy thanks to being born full term with the help of treatments made possible by March of Dimes funded research. We have the March of Dimes to thank for both of our little miracles!

The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

Your gift will support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And it will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
