Connor Brycen was born 4 weeks early via emergency c-section due to complications caused by me having a bicornuate uterus. He weighed 5 pounds 8.6 oz and was 17.5 inches long. He had no major complications, just moderate jaundice and a some trouble keeping his body temperature up/regulated. He spent no time in the NICU and was able to come home in just 4 days. We were very lucky, however, many preemies are not...
Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in March for Babies support research that saves babies' lives.
Connor is now 5 1/2 and is still doing great. He is very active and loves playing soccer and baseball!!!
