Message from the Team Captain
As most of you know I gave birth to a PREMATURE baby on September 23rd and the first two weeks of her life were the hardest time IN MY LIFE. No Mother should ever be discharged from the hospital and have to leave their baby behind. I cried non-stop for those days that she was in the NICU. I saw her hooked up to a feeding tube, IV's (even in her head) , monitors and her feet were bruised and completely black from all the blood they had to take. I was heart broken having to leave her everyday and go home long enough to rest. I don't ever want another parent to feel the way we did. I know that my helping won't completely end premature births, birth defects and the loss of a baby HOWEVER, I am going to do the best I can to support the organizations that were so good to us!

The money we raise for March for Babies will help:
...support all-important research offering preventions and solutions for babies born too soon or with birth defects
...educate women on things they can do to increase their chances of having a healthy baby

The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

Funds raised in March for Babies support research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And they will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
