Message from the Team Captain
Welcome back! We're excited to once again be fundraising for the March of Dimes!
We are proud that we've been able to raise money for the March of Dimes for the past 4 years. In 2011, you helped us raise $15361 which made us the 2nd place team in fundraising for the city of Houston and the 3rd place team in the State of Texas! How awesome is that? Thank you for the bottom or our hearts! :)
We are so thankful for our beautiful babies, Coy and Cydney Kolkhorst. We realize that without the ongoing research of the March of Dimes, Coy and Cydney may not be with us today. After birth at 23 weeks gestation, Coy spent 14 weeks in the NICU. Four years later, he is thriving, growing, and an energetic little boy. We are so thankful for the reasearch done by the March of Dimes that helped save our son's life.
The March of Dimes helps moms-to-be who are faced with a difficult pregnancy. As many of you know, while pregnant with Cydney, I spent 14 weeks on hospital bedrest. During this time, I had visits several times per week from March of Dimes volunteers...there to help, listen, educate, and counsel. March of Dimes is truly a wonderful organization.
We hope you join in the fight to prevent premature birth and come walk with us on May 1st, 2011. If you can make it, please register as a team member. We want your support in any way that you can give it. If you feel that a donation is in your ability, please give small or large. We appreciate it all.

Our team has joined thousands of compassionate teams across the country that support March for Babies. Won′t you please help us in this worthy cause? Join us in the walk that helps all moms and babies.
The money we raise for March for Babies will help:
...support all-important research offering preventions and solutions for babies born too soon or with birth defects
...educate women on things they can do to increase their chances of having a healthy baby
...provide comfort and information to families with a newborn in intensive care
...push for newborn screening and health insurance for all pregnant women and children.
The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

Funds raised in March for Babies support research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And they will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
