Kmart has distinguished itself as having the longest corporate partnership with the March of Dimes and also stands alone as having made the largest contribution to save babies - over $55.5 million in over two decades. Kmart exemplifies corporate giving at its best and was awarded the March of Dimes inaugural Lifetime Corporate Achievement Award in 2006. Since 1984, Kmart's commitment to the March of Dimes has remained constant and their focus on associate teambuilding and performance enthusiastically carries over to their customers. Kmart customers signal their commitment to the Kmart/March of Dimes partnership year after year and week after week through their $1 paper sneaker donations during the annual WalkAmerica campaign. Kmart, its associates and customers are committed to a common goal: a healthy birth for every child.

CIGNA prides itself in helping companies succeed and helping people enjoy a better quality of life. Their partnership includes national sponsorship of March of Dimes WalkAmerica for 13 consecutive years, as well as national sponsorship of the Prematurity Campaign since 2003. The company and its employees have contributed $19 million to the March of Dimes. In 2006, CIGNA featured the March of Dimes in its Benefits of Caring program, which included an advertorial about the cost of premature birth, which ran nationwide in the Wall Street Journal. Additionally, CIGNA's dedicated employees serve on local March of Dimes chapter boards, participate in special events and reinforce the March of Dimes mission to generate additional revenue for the March of Dimes through unique promotions such as book sales, bake sales, wing eating contests, carnivals and the renowned basket auction in Hartford.

The March of Dimes welcomes Farmers back for the third year of the company's national sponsorship of WalkAmerica. Engaging Farmers' employees, agents and customers in fundraising activities complements the company's sponsorship. Farmers' commitment to improving the communities where their customers, agents and employees live and work was evident this year with their new "Be a Hero for Babies" campaign, raising $1.44 million in just one day. Farmers' commitment spans more than a decade and includes nearly $14.5 million raised through WalkAmerica and special events to support the March of Dimes. In 2006 alone, Farmers raised an incredible $3.2 million ranking the company as the No. 4 WalkAmerica Team nationwide among 24,000 participating companies.

FedEx Corporation promotes a culture that values community service and good corporate citizenship. Since 1979, FedEx has supported the March of Dimes through participation in WalkAmerica. Famous Footwear Famous Footwear
Entering its fourth year of national sponsorship of March of Dimes WalkAmerica, Famous Footwear continues to be a pacesetter in the specialty retailer category. Their successful "Give hope. Watch miracles happen." in-store fundraising campaigns in the Spring and Fall raised over $1 million dollars this year. Since 1997, Famous Footwear customers and associates have contributed almost $6 million to ensure all babies are born healthy. They rank as one of the top 10 WalkAmerica teams nationwide and are determined to stay there! Famous Footwear, a division of St. Louis-based Brown Shoe Company, is America's largest footwear chain selling branded, value-priced footwear for the entire family. More than 120 million customers will shop at Famous Footwear's 1001 stores this year and on FamousFootwear.com this year.

Continental Airlines Continental Airlines
Continuing into their second year as a national sponsor of March of Dimes WalkAmerica and the Foundation's distinguished National Ambassador Program, Continental Airlines has enhanced their commitment of in-kind product, advertising and promotion through the company's in-flight magazine and television programming, and participation as a national WalkAmerica Team. Continental will also recruit key volunteer leaders at major worksites nationwide to establish teams of friends and families.

Grain Foods Foundation Grain Foods Foundation
The Grain Foods Foundation, a joint venture of members of the milling and baking industries formed in 2004, is dedicated to advancing the public's understanding of the beneficial role grain-based foods play in the human diet. In their second year as a national sponsor of March of Dimes WalkAmerica, the Grain Foods Foundation is committed to raising awareness for the important role that B vitamins and folic acid, in particular, play in helping prevent birth defects. Foods made from enriched grains have been fortified with twice the amount folic acid found in whole grain products. Fortification of enriched grains with folic acid has accounted for a 36 percent decline in neural tube defects (NTDs) in Hispanics and a 34 percent decline among white, non-Hispanics between 1995 and 2002. The Grain Foods Foundation supplements sponsorship with national publicity and retail support in conjunction with its "Grains for LIFE" campaign, as well as consumer nutrition education materials in English and Spanish.

The company supports WalkAmerica by generating awareness of the prevalence of preterm births nationwide and disseminating important, lifesaving health messages to families.
