We're getting ready to walk in March for Babies! It promises to be a fun day out with people who share our passion for improving the health of babies. There'll be family teams, company teams and people walking with friends - it's a great feeling knowing we're all helping real families. 2016 Temple Ambler Ambassador Justin Bowser

In 2006 Dana and Mark Bowser were eagerly awaiting the birth of their child. Dana’s pregnancy appeared to be progressing normally, until, at 34 weeks, Justin was born. Doctors sent Justin home after a few days with no major complications. On day six of his life, lab results revealed Justin was suffering from hyperbilirubinemia. Justin was rushed to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia . Immediately Justin received a blood transfusion, phototherapy, IV nourishment and his breathing was closely monitored. Justin’s mom and dad spent every day for three weeks by their baby’s side until he was healthy enough to be sent home. Today, he is nine years-old and loves to play baseball, football and piano. Justin is a great student and is a member of the Sigma Beta Club. He also enjoys cheering on his favorite sports teams including the Temple University Owls. Justin’s parents, Dana and Mark, know the significant role that March of Dimes research played in helping Justin get this far. Dana became involved with the March of Dimes as a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Kappa Omega Zeta Chapter located in Montgomery County. These organizations have been strong supporters of the March of Dimes and walk every year all over the country. As the 2016 Temple Ambler Ambassador Family, the Bowser family will share their story and help raise awareness of premature birth. They hope their story can provide hope for other families and help the March of Dimes to reach the day when all babies are born strong and healthy.
