won't be displayed on the leaderboard. Leaderboard totals reflect cash and checks marked "received" on the online sponsor form as well as credit card and PayPal donations. Team
captains can enter as cash and mark "received" any money raised through promotions, such as bake sales and casual days and any sponsorship money paid to the March of Dimes,

The Quartiers’ Story
On February 16th, 2009, our son, Cameron Jace Quartiers was born. He came into the world under some of the scariest of circumstances; 16 weeks premature, weighing just under a pound.
Cameron joined his big sister Schuyler who was just 2 years old at the time to make our family complete. While the circumstances surrounding his birth were anything but typical, to his dad, big sister, and I – he was instantly the love of our lives! Despite his given name, Cameron – Schuyler named him Cam-Cam. And to this day, the name for her remains unchanged.
After several weeks in the NICU, doctors and nurses began to say the word that we had been praying for – HOME. But soon, without explanation, Cameron had a series of setbacks. Doctors informed us that Cameron had a severe form of Pulmonary Hypertension of Prematurity. Cameron’s condition would likely be terminal and that his care would be too immense to ever bring him home.
Instantly, we became driven to learn more about his needs. We learned every aspect of Cameron’s care. After 213 days in the hospital, we took our little boy home. We knew that the future held no guarantees and that he had only the slightest of chances of long term survival. But as a family, we were committed to giving our son the best quality of life possible.
Unfortunately, Cameron only spent a short time at home. He developed another infection and was readmitted to the PICU. On October 20th, 2009 –more than 8 months after he brightened our world, we were forced to say goodbye to our beautiful Cam.
As devastating as his passing was to us, his life was such a gift that we could not help but give back to an organization that has done so much to help babies - the March of Dimes. Each year, our family organizes a team of 100+ walkers to walk in the Adirondack March for Babies. In the past 6 years, our team has raised more than $100,000 in sponsorship.
I have seen first hand, what the March of Dimes does for families like mine. The MOD offers comfort and education to families. But more importantly, they fund vital research. Due to the March of Dimes’ advances in aspirin therapy, we were able to welcome our son Liam Casey to our family in July 2011. Liam was born 6 weeks early and spent 10 uneventful days in the NICU. He is now a curious and active 4 year old!
Every baby deserves a healthy start and we are proud to support the March of Dimes in their efforts!
