Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

Thank You Columbus! March for Babies was a huge success thanks to our Sponsors, Volunteers, Teams and Walkers! We appreciate your support and hope you enjoyed the event. In 2014, Kacie went into labor at only 22 weeks, 3 days and was placed on hospital bed rest. She spent 10 weeks at the hospital and her four babies were born at 31 weeks 6 days after steroids, progesterone, several rounds of magnesium and other measures taken to stop labor. There were about 50 people in the delivery room and their family took up two operating rooms. The babies were all born over the course of just two minutes. At 2lbs 14oz, 3lbs 2oz, 3lbs 9oz, and 4lbs 4 oz, Jackson, Owen, Dylan and Millie were all taken immediately to the NICU. All benefitted from prenatal care and surfactant therapy, a treatment discovered by research funded by the March of Dimes.
Today we are blessed to have four happy & healthy two year old children and credit the March of Dimes for the research and development efforts regarding premature birth. This is our 3rd year participating in March for Babies and we look forward to it every year.
