Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

ABOUT MARCH FOR BABIES
The Miami Valley March for Babies will be held at the UD River Campus. NEW DATE THIS YEAR ONLY - this year's walk is Saturday, June 4, 2016 and is being chaired by John Robertson, VP of GE Aviation, and our Gold Sponsors for the event. The March for Babies will start at 8:00 a.m. to turn in their donations, if they have not already done so. We will March for Babies promptly at 9:00. In addition to the 3 mile route there is a one mile fun route within UD River Campus park. This family friendly day also features free food for the walkers, entertainment, and a kids zone for the little ones. This rain or shine event welcomes individual walkers, as well as family, corporate, and school teams. Join us and start your team today! Start raising money to support the March of Dimes mission to give every baby a fighting chance!

Maureen did everything by the book during her pregnancy to ensure the healthy birth of Ethan and Elaina. Her twins, Ethan and Elaina, were born 12 weeks premature at 28 weeks. Ethan weighed 2 lbs. and 1 oz. and Elaina weighed 1 lb. 9 oz. Elaina was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for 3 months and Ethan was in the NICU for 104 days. The family credits their survival and good health to research used to create treatments for premature babies which was funded in large part by the March of Dimes. One such research driven treatment resulted in the development of Surfactant, a drug which helps preemies with breathing. Both Ethan and Elaina had the benefit of this drug.
While we may never know why Ethan and Elaina came early, the family would like to invite you to join them in the fight against prematurity by joining them at the March for Babies.
