We're getting ready to walk in March for Babies! It promises to be a fun day out with people who share our passion for improving the health of babies. There'll be family teams, company teams and people walking with friends - it's a great feeling knowing we're all helping real families. My family has been involved with the March for Babies walk since 2006. This is something that is near & dear to our heart, as our son, Evan, was born 10 weeks too soon, weighing in at 3lb 4oz. He spent 5 weeks in the NICU at Fletcher Allen. It was a whirlwind experience! We knew little about the impacts prematurity has on a family and how scary the whole experience can be. We are so fortunate to have such a terrific NICU and are so thankful for the support that the March of Dimes provides through funding valuable research and providing educational resources to help save babies and prevent premature birth and birth defects.
