The Vaughan Twins
There are two. You are having twins. These were 7 words that we had never even considered when we discovered she was pregnant. We were thrilled, scared, excited, and concerned. We were already blessed with 2 children, ages 10 and 6 at the time.
Ben and Rosalyn Vaughan experienced a high risk pregnancy when it came to the birth of their twins. Adaline and Harper were born at 33 weeks at UT Medical Center. The twins have far surpassed the progress they were expected to have being born prematurely. The girls were given surfactant, which is a March of Dimes funded agent that allowed the twins to now be able to breathe on their own. 17 days after being in the NICU, almost 2 months early, the twins were able to go home. Ben and Rosalyn want to express how thankful they are to everyone who has helped them along this journey. They share their story to help raise awareness to encourage others to ask questions and use all resources available to them provided through the hospitals and the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes in working to decrease the numbers of families that have to go through this.
