ABOUT MARCH FOR BABIES

Join us in our March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement!

We invite you to join us for the 52nd March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement in-person event on Saturday, April 23, 2022!

March of Dimes leads the fight in ending preventable maternal health risks and death as well as ending preventable preterm birth and infant death. We imagine a world where every mom & baby is healthy regardless of wealth, race, gender, or geography. For over 50 years, as the largest fundraiser for March of Dimes, nationally, we have brought together thousands of people across the islands to support our mission, to fight for our moms & babies, and this year we are asking for your support again.

Join our March for Babies Chair, AlohaCare, CEO Francoise Culley-Trotman and her Executive Leadership Team, in supporting our moms & babies in Hawai`i by signing up to commit to raising money and walking 3.1 miles at Kapi`olani Park.

2022 Ambassador Family

The Edie Family

In 2017, the Edie `ohana lost their twin girls at 20 weeks due to an incompetent cervix (IC). The following year, they almost lost their twins, Dylan & Savannah again due to IC but thanks to their medical team including our Board of Director, Dr. Angela Pratt, the twins were saved. The twins spent 6 weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at The Kapi`olani Medical Center for Women & Children. The Edie `ohana shared, one of the things that made a difference during this difficult time was the March of Dimes welcome kit & services offered to the families. It happen before COVID-19 hit so they enjoyed the opportunities they got to meet with other NICU families. The Edie `ohana wants to bring awareness to preterm birth as well as share their story with others through advocacy.
