Why I walk

During this time of urgency given the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for March for Babies to Step Up! It's support is even more critical.
This year, our family will be participating in the nationwide virtual walk. Like others, We will be using the Step Up! Charity App to monitor our steps in this fundraiser. Please help us to raise much needed funds to  support our littlest heroes!
❤️
Thank you 💜

Everly Grace was born just under 31 weeks, weighing only 3 pounds, 11 oz. Being a NICU mom was one of the toughest things I have done in my life! Leaving my beautiful baby girl for the first time, after I was discharged, was hard to say the least. I'll never forget that feeling standing outside the hospital waiting for my husband to bring the car around. I felt like I was forgetting something. As I unknowingly started to rub my stomach, the tears began running down my cheeks. I was going home without my baby. At that point, all I knew was that I needed to make sure Everly knew I loved her, I was praying for her, fighting with her and comforting her daily. It never got easier as the days went on. We spent 31 days fighting in the NICU. Today, Everly is a happy, healthy, and strong 6 year old. Everly's journey has a happy ending, but many of the 1 in 10 babies born prematurely in the United States do not.

Right now, babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States. I’m walking in March for Babies to get the message out about this terrible problem and you can help. Please make a secure donation to help our team reach our goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so more babies can get the strongest start possible.

Let’s help our Littlest Superheroes!

Blessings,

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
