"There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children." Nelson Mandela

In North Carolina, 10.4% of births are premature.

In North Carolina, the preterm birth rate among black women is 53% higher thatn the rate among all other women.

The lasting effects of prematurity can put a person behind before he/she ever enters school or applies for a job.

  • physical delays

  • learning delays

  • difficulty communicating

  • difficulty getting along with others

  • difficulty caring for himself

  • behavior problems

  • neurological disorders

  • vision and hearing problems

For these reasons and more, I am walking.

Your support of positive energy, love, prayers, dimes or dollars would mean the world to me.

Gratefully,
Laura

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
