Why I walk

In 2004, our first daughter, Amelia was born 12 weeks early. The photo above shows her at about 36 hours old. This was the first time I was able to hold her. She spent nearly 7 weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit before coming home. In 2006, our second daughter, Anya, was born 10 weeks early. She spent a month in the NICU before she was able to come home. We are fortunate that our girls are healthy, happy kids today. This is due in large part to the care they received at Albany Med, where many advancements, made possible by the March of Dimes research, allowed them to get better and grow healthy. Each year since 2005, we have walked to raise money for the March of Dimes so that other families can have the happy endings we have had. Please help us raise money to support this cause, to which we feel we owe so much.

Your gift matters

Funds raised in March for Babies support research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And they will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
