Why I walk

On December 13, 2006, we were blessed with our daughter, Marren Michelle. Being 6 weeks premature meant that her lungs were underdeveloped and that she needed to be hospitalized for 16 days. Just over two years later, Isaac was born 6 weeks early. Because of some advanced medical treatment I was able to receive, his hospital stay was only 6 days. Please support Andy and me as we walk for other premature babies so that they can have the outstanding care that Marren and Isaac were so lucky to have. Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise support research that saves babies' lives. The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

Your gift matters

Funds raised in March for Babies support research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And they will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.

Thank you for walking!
