Why I walk

Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies' health today. Some of them won't survive, and others will have health problems that could last a lifetime. The funds we raise in March for Babies support research that saves babies' lives. Our 1st baby, Brian Kevin Miller, Jr was born at 24 weeks weighing in at 1 pound, 7 ounces. He lived for 2 weeks in the NICU before he died in my arms one night. If it were not for Northside Hospital and the March of Dimes we would not have had that 2 weeks with Baby Brian. Our 2nd baby, Joseph Brian Miller, was born at 37 weeks weighing in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces. He spent 1 week in the NICU due to Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Joey is now happy and healthy! He is an ACTIVE 12 year old and in 6th Grade! We were honored to be the 2011 Ambassador Family for the North Fulton chapter of March of Dimes! Please support us in 2017 by either walking with us or donating your spare "dimes" (or more!) Our Family Team is Team 2 Brothers and Northside Hospital will MATCH all of our donations received!!! Hopefully, with our help, we can give future babies like Baby Brian a better chance at life! Thank you so much for your support,

We Walk In memory of ^BKM2^,

Your gift matters

Funds raised in March for Babies support research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And they will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
