Team captains:

Why we walk

Many of you have have watched and supported us as we have traveled the difficult road of prematurity and living with it's long lasting effects. 7 years ago, against our wishes, our 4 babies were brought into this world tiny and completely helpless. Born at 3lbs and under our sweet babies had to fight day in and day out to survive. Our Brody came hours from losing his life to being born so early and so sick. With the lungs of a 23 weeker and multiple other serious issues, the odds were stacked highly against him. Thanks to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, the hands of the doctors and nurses who cared for him each day & the research done by the March of Dimes he, along with his brothers and sisters, pulled through.

After dealing with the terrifying early birth of the quads, we were blessed with our number five 3 years ago. Our sweet Blade was delivered full term and as healthy as can be, something Bret & I are so thankful for and will never take for granted. Please help us help other parents to have the same experience. You can help us and March of Dimes fight prematurity in honor of our 4 precious miracles, Brody Baxlyn Kylee & Korbin, by joining us in the 2016 Dallas walk or by making a donation today. It's easy, safe and secure and can be done within just a couple of minutes! One day, all babies will be born healthy. Until then, we vow to do our part to work towards that goal. Thank you for helping us give all babies a healthy start! Our goal this year is $1000.00 We've reached beyond our goal each year so far, I and I hope you can help us do the same this year! No matter how small your donation may be it CAN and WILL help fight against prematurity and will help babies born too early have a better start at life.

If you are unable to donate, we understand and we ask that you please consider passing our page information along to your friends, family, and community. If you're one of the many who have walked with us in the past, we urge you to go and walk alongside many of the other families and individuals who care so deeply about the efforts of the March of Dimes! Take a look when considering your donation: http://coxquads.blogspot.com/2012/03/take-home-and-nicu-two-different-worlds.html
