I’m walking in support of babies like my son and all babies born too soon. This also supports moms that suffer illnesses in pregnancy and have even experienced pregnancy loss as we have. My son was born over 10 weeks early at little over 2 pounds. He had chronic lung disease and two holes in his heart. He fought for two months in the Neonatal ICU. While there he had to be on a ventilator for some time, had blood transfusions and many other medical interventions. Please help me to support the March of Dimes and the fight to help all babies to have a fighting chance just like my son. He and our family has been extremely blessed and we thank God every day for what we have been given. He is currently a very healthy 6 year old with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. He has completely exceeded milestones at every age so far. Not only is he absolutely brilliant in speech and knowledge, but he is athletic and plays baseball and hockey. We are truly blessed to have such a healthy little guy. He is currently flourishing in kindergarten and absolutely loves to learn, especially science! We have also been blessed with our beautiful little girl that is 3 1/2. She too was born early out of precaution, but only four weeks early thankfully. He and she have three older siblings and a new baby sister and we are blessed with a large family.
