Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

March for Babies is back and we are bringing you an unforgettable event experience! All are welcome to enjoy our event day activities!

HOW TO GET STARTED

1) REGISTER

Join as an individual, as a member of a community or corporate team, or even as a team captain. Whatever you choose, be sure to ask everyone you know to join, too.

2) RAISE MONEY

Raise money through your fundraising page, social media or the old fashioned way of asking friends and family to help.

3) CELEBRATE & WALK WITH US

March with us! Celebrate with your family and friends at the walk and join in the Opening Ceremony, Superhero Sprint, Memory Garden & so much more!

ABOUT THE LOCAL EVENT

Invite your friends and family to our March for Babies celebration and walk on Sunday, May 19th at Whitnall Park in Hales Corners, Wisconsin! At 8:00 am, participants can check-in and pick up their incentives inside the Welcome Tent. For those eligible for incentives of $1,000 or below, their items will be available at the Welcome Tent between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. The morning will then proceed with Family Friendly Activities around March for Babies Town until 9:00 am, followed by the Opening Ceremony, Superhero Sprint, and Zumba Warm-up that begins promptly at 9:00 am. The 2K/5K Walk will start at 9:30 am, with one loop covering 1.5 miles and two loops totaling 3 miles. The activities and walk will continue until 12:00 pm, offering a range of engaging experiences for all participants.

Cogan and Dean

"We found out at 13 weeks that our second pregnancy was twins and were surprised but excited for the adventures to come. The pregnancy was pretty uncomplicated for the next 16 weeks while we prepared for the boys to arrive. When I started to spot at 29 weeks, my doctor was hopeful this was just due to some mild dilation given the fact that I was measuring term, but sent me home with strict instructions to call if anything seems off. A few hours later, my water broke. Cogan and Dean were born the next morning at 7:26am and 7:38am, weighing 2#14.4 oz and 3#1.5 oz respectively at 29 weeks and 1 day gestation. The next 46 days were a rollercoaster of emotion. We spent our days traveling back and forth to the hospital, spending time with Lukin, and anxiously awaiting the magical time when we could bring our boys home and be a family of 5 under one roof. When things don’t go according to plan despite our best efforts, March of Dimes is committed to supporting families experiencing challenging beginnings and devastating losses. We are so grateful to each and every one of you for your participation and support of the March for Babies.
