The Ezeff Family

Our little miracle, Kingston, was a rainbow baby. After two miscarriages within a year, we were so excited and nervous to welcome him in March of 2019, but Kingston had other plans. Just five days before Christmas, we talked to the neonatologist, prayed as a family, and welcomed our 2 lb 6 oz miracle a day shy of 26 weeks gestation. We were terrified as they wheeled him off to the NICU because we didn't know what to expect. Kingston spent 79 days in the NICU! Within those 79 days, we were forced to learn patience. We also had to learn a lot about the NICU. March of Dimes helped us tremendously! The NICU's social worker provided me with a booklet from March of Dimes. I immediately went to research March of Dimes. Some articles explained what to expect during Kingston's stay. I learned what a micro preemie was and kangaroo care, to name a few. They even offered classes that we could attend to learn what to expect from our NICU visit and beyond. The resources provided helped to make Kingston's stay a little less stressful. We are honored to be an ambassador family because we believe in the great work happening through March of Dimes for all families, including ours.
