Meet Ella

On March 8th, over 3 and a half months early, we welcomed our daughter, Eloise *Ella* into our family. Weighing just over one pound, 12 oz., she was given the very best care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics by all of her doctors, nurses, and nurse practioners. Ella struggled with her prematurity and Pulmonary Hypertension every day, as she benefited from multiple rounds of surfactant, and daily nitric oxide- two things developed through March of Dimes research funding. She blessed us with 18 wonderful months before passing away due to her Pulmonary Hypertension. Ella taught us more in those 18 months then we could have ever imagined. We may not understand or know why this happened, but we do know one thing- she made a difference in every life that she touched every single day. We were blessed to be her parents. We participate in March for Babies in her honor. Please join us in supporting the March of Dimes to give all babies a healthy start.
