This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

Meet Carson

When we started our journey to parenthood, we didn’t set out to become preemie parents. No family does. But, we are thankful we had a preemie, because it meant viability and a chance at survival. You see, we lost six children before having our miracle rainbow baby. All our losses were before week 19. With every new pregnancy, we prayed to make it to week 24 –viability week. The week that would allow our child a chance to survive if born too soon and allow for us to become “real” parents to a baby here on Earth. We made it to 26 weeks, 6 days. Carson was born on 9/11/11, weighing only 2lb, 6oz. He was small but he was mighty. A fighter. He still is to this day. We received excellent care at our NICU and he thrived and grew. We were finally a family, complete and whole. We are so thankful to the March of Dimes. Because of their dedication and research, Carson is now 3 years old, happy and healthy, growing and living.
