In 2007 my daughter, Makennah, was born at 27 weeks and only weighing 2 pounds. She had a long journey in the NICU of 104 days. Despite all ten of her surgeries she is a very active 5 year old getting ready to start kindergarten.
Five weeks prior to her being born my cousin, Scarlett, delivered her first child, Clarisse stillborn at 24 weeks. She only weighed 1 pound 6 ounces. Her cause of death is unknown.
July 2009 Scarlett delivered a perfectly healthy little girl, Isabelle Reese. We are so thankful for her sweet life!
In August 2012, Scarlett delivered Elisse Biddison at 29 weeks. She was born stillborn weighing 2 lbs 2 oz. She had velamentous cord insertion (VCI) which caused her not to grow and develop correctly.
This is Our Little Ladybugs 8th year to MARCH in honor & memory of these four little girls! Please join our team and walk with us or donate to help raise money for the March of Dimes!
One day all babies will be born healthy. But we'll have to walk & raise money to get there! Thank you for your help!
The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
