This is my - and my team's - TENTH YEAR of March for Babies!
Why do I walk?
Because my babies were born 14 weeks early.
Because I delivered three babies, but am raising only two, and because Avnish and Keshavan's triplet sister is missed every day.
Because my three babies weighed a combined total of 4 1/2 lbs at birth. Each of them weighed less than 2lbs, and one of them weighed in at a teeny tiny 1lb 3oz.
Because my boys were asked to fight the kind of fight that no baby should be asked to - the fight to survive.
Because we were heartbroken by the loss of our baby. And because we have the talented NICU staff, strength of our babies, and the research funded by the March of Dimes, to thank for our our boys pulling through.
Because after 14 weeks and 19 weeks in the NICU, we brought home our amazing little babies, who have grown into two amazing little boys. Because they make me smile by just being, and make my heart swell with pride every day.
I walk because I am in awe of my boys, and how far they have come on a road they never should have had to travel.
I walk in honor of my little girl - not a day goes by that I don't think about her. I walk for, and with, her brothers, who carry her spirit in them. And I walk to save babies.
Please help by donating today - or better yet - join our team!
Thank you so much!
