Amira Edwards was born on August 8, 2023, at just 1lb 11.5oz, 13 weeks premature. She faced an 82-day stay in the NICU, multiple doctor appointments, bradycardia episodes, and various therapeutic interventions (PT, OT, developmental), but today, she’s a thriving, sassy 2 year old little girl. We want to advocate for a cause greater than our own journey and support the next family who might face a similar challenge to Amira’s.
With preterm birth and maternal mortality rates on the rise, I’m dedicated to raising funds to ensure every family receives the best possible care from the start. But I can’t do it alone—I need your help.
We'd love for you to join our team and complete this walk with us, however, if you're unable to, we understand and there is still a way you can contribute! Please visit my fundraising page to contribute. Together, we can be part of a movement to make America a more equitable place and ensure every mom and baby has the healthiest beginning possible.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
