I am passionate about this cause because my wife and I experienced an unsuccessful pregnancy with our first attempt and other complications we have encountered on our journey to have a family. Our first son, Bextyn had numerous complications during pregnancy including a slight deletion of one of his chromosomes that could have resulted in any range of potential disabilities and was born almost a month prematurely. Our second son, Wylde was born with Sagittal Craniosynostosis (premature fusion of his skull sutures on the top of his head) which required cranial surgery when he was 3 months old to correct and allow for normal development. Despite all these issues, I am extremely proud and happy to say that my wife and I now have 2 happy and healthy rambunctious boys! The research that March of Dimes supports, aids in the advancement of fertility treatment and premature birth, giving families opportunities that didn’t exist before and it is a dream of mine to help make this a reality for as many other families as we can.
