I went in for a routine ultrasound at 34 weeks. Two and a half hours later, after being told at the ultrasound that I was being admitted for observation, my baby was born.
We spent 29 days in the NICU. Each day was filled with unknowns, celebrations, frustrations, and love. So much love. Being there was hard, but March of Dimes provided semblances of normalcy for us.
On May 16, 2024, I was unknowingly two weeks away from meeting my daughter too early. On May 16, 2026, I will be walking with an almost two year old daughter and other families who have loved someone so fragile.
Join me in celebrating little lives and getting the word out about improving maternal, prenatal, and postnatal care.
March of Dimes is dedicated to bringing people together to tackle America's maternal and infant health crisis—one person, one community, and one step at a time. More than a series of walks, March for Babies is an annual tradition that supports moms and babies every day, every step of the way.
March for Babies connects friends, families, and coworkers to improve the health of families nationwide. Together with March of Dimes, each step forward brings us closer to a healthy future for all.
Thank you for your support!
